George Green

George Green was born in Dublin in 1956 and raised in Tipperary, in a house built on top of an ancient burial mound. After a brief decade in the Sport and Leisure trade, George took an MA in Creative Writing and became a lecturer at Lancaster University. His main areas of research are Irish fiction, the Western and the nature of Biography.

As well as numerous short stories, George has written two novels - Hound, a retelling of the legend of Cú Chulainn through the eyes of his charioteer, and a prequel Hawk, set in Ancient Rome - both of which are published by Transworld. He was also chosen to co-author one of the well known ...For Dummies series, Writing a Novel and Getting Published For Dummies.

George is a P-CON veteran. His Writer's Workshop (with Juliet E. McKenna) was extremely popular last year, especially considering it was on at 10am on Sunday morning. Who knows what further miracles he will perform in 2012?
