Bob Neilson lives in Dublin, where he runs a successful retail business in partnership with his wife, Stacey. His first professional publication was in 1989 and since then he has been published extensively in Ireland, the UK and the US, including a graphic novel (Spell Maffia) and four comics (over a ten year period).
He has written science fiction radio plays for RTE radio and Anna Livia FM (for whom he presented a SF magazine programme in the '90s), is a founding editor of Albedo One magazine and even chaired the ISFA for a year. His latest short story collection "That's Entertainment" was published by Elastic Press in 2007.
Bob’s blog, “Bob in Translation” can be found here. http://bobn-translation.blogspot.com/ . In his blog you will notice he is strongly promoting the translation of Science Fiction stories both into and from English. This is something his colleagues at Albedo One and Aeon Press feel very strongly about.
He is still known to take a drink.
